Alyansa Tigil Mina (ATM) joins the Filipino people in demanding full accountability from all public officials and private contractors implicated in the corruption involving flood control and infrastructure projects.

On November 30, we join the Trillion Peso March to express our indignation over the greed of government officials and political dynasties who have unashamedly stolen from the nations’ coffers.

Through ghost projects, congressional insertions, and huge kickbacks, these officials fattened their pockets while depriving citizens of much-needed infrastructure and services meant to protect the people from climate change disasters. Millions are suffering in the face of the corrupt’s lavish lifestyles!

We demand that the perpetrators of this horrendous plunder be prosecuted and jailed. We demand a return of the trillions of taxpayers’ money stolen through anomalous projects. We further demand that large-scale mining – the culprit that has caused severe flooding in many mining-affected communities – be fully stopped.

We denounce the political dynasties who are also beneficial owners of mining and energy companies. They are destroying our forests and island ecosystems, and threaten our food and water sources. The corruption led by political dynasties must be stopped. This can be directly addressed by the immediate enactment of the Anti-Political Dynasty Bill.

In solidarity with the Filipino people, we commit to the movement against corruption. We will persist in our struggles until justice is served and genuine social transformation is achieved.

End Corruption! End Political Dynasties!

Stop Destructive Mining!
